Blog post for a prescription delivery company
Do you constantly feel like you’re in a rush? Scrambling, looking for your keys, grabbing fast food because you forgot to make your lunch or didn’t have time? Constantly running errands after work when all you want to do is rest?
This type of lifestyle can be incredibly stress-inducing – which isn’t great for your health. In order to lead a more streamlined and stress-free life, it takes a little bit of work on the front-end. To make your days run more smoothly, you’ll want to take steps to prepare for the day/days ahead.
Let’s dive into some ways you can prepare in order to have a more stress-free day.
1. Grocery pickup or meal planning kit
If you’re anything like my household, meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking take up way more time than you’d like. There are a couple of options nowadays to help you save time when it comes to dinner.
The first option, on the cheaper (usually free) end of things, is doing a grocery pickup. Instead of going into the grocery store, walking through all of the aisles, adding things to your cart you weren’t planning on, and then waiting in line for forever, you can simply do your shopping online, hit “checkout” and schedule the time you want to pick up your groceries.
Meal planning is a lot easier when you can open a recipe article on one browser tab and the grocery order on the other. If you want to go a step further, you can even get your groceries delivered to your door (though there is usually a fee for this).
There are also subscription services that deliver meal kits with pre-portioned ingredients for recipes you choose, which is a great option if you want to remove the dinner-planning hassle completely. While you still need to cook the meals, the ingredients are pre-portioned which means there’s less waste - plus, there’s no meal-planning on your end. You just need to decide which yummy meal you’ll have which night.
The best planner is the one you’ll actually use!
2. Get a planner that actually works for you
I have been guilty in the past of buying a planner just because it was pretty…even though I had another at home. I’ve used numerous planners over the years, but the one that finally stuck (for the last 7 years) is the bullet journal.
If you don’t know what the bullet journal is, essentially it’s when you take a notebook (usually with grid paper) and create a planner that fits your needs exactly. It can take as much or as little setup as you desire – my bullet journal has gotten more and more simple the older I’ve gotten, but I’ve also gone through phases where I put more effort into it because it was a creative outlet for me.
I also like using Notion for work-related items where digital planning is much easier. If you haven’t yet, I’d recommend checking it out – both the web and app versions are free, and you can even steal other people’s cute layouts by searching for “free Notion layouts.”
Whichever planner you use – whether paper or digital – it doesn’t matter, as long as you choose the one that you’re going to actually use. Try to check with this each morning, so that you can stay on top of what you need to get done/have going on that day.
And once you have the planner that you’ll actually use, it’s best to go into setting it up with…a plan.
3. Plan out your ideal day
Try to be very intentional about what exactly you want to accomplish each day. And not only that – what you want each day to feel like.
What do you want more of in your day? Is it free time? To get in better shape? To have slow mornings?
Plan your day in accordance with these desires and prioritize the things that are going to get you closer to your goals, or to the pace of day you want to have.
4. Plan out your workout in advance
Do you ever get to the gym and not know what to do that day, and end up not getting much done that day because of it? If you plan out your workout in advance, it will not only make you more likely to go, but it will also lead to a more intentional and therefore more effective/beneficial workout.

5. Have your prescriptions delivered right to your door
Like having your groceries delivered, now you can also get your prescriptions delivered! Instead of waiting in line at the pharmacy and having your next-door neighbor listen in on everything the pharmacist discusses with you, you can now have your prescriptions delivered to your door. This also saves you from forgetting to get them filled and then either missing doses or having to drop everything to go to the pharmacy – which no one wants to do.

6. Prep for the next day, the night before
This is one of the most important steps with ensuring that you’re setting yourself up for success and less stress – prepping the night before. Anything you can do that would be helpful for “future you,” such as setting the coffee pot, making your lunch for the next day, laying out the clothes you want to wear, prepping snacks to take to work, etc.
Another thing I recommend is actually planning your day out the night before. This helps you to not forget any appointments or what you need to get done, helps you empty your brain before bed so that you aren’t lying awake thinking of what you need to do the next day, and also helps you to be more intentional and on-track when you go into the next day.
You can even make an hour-by-hour plan of the next day if you want to really stay on track, but I understand that that doesn’t work for everyone.
7. Get to bed on time
And last but certainly not least, is getting to bed on time. This might seem obvious, but I know for me, I hate wrapping up the cozy and laid-back evening time to go to bed. I don’t know why, it’s just not my favorite.
But every single time I stay up later, even if I end up sleeping in a bit, it affects my overall mood and energy levels, and certainly my stress levels. Do future you a favor and go to bed on time.
So, if you’re ready to invest in a more stress-free tomorrow, go ahead and make some of these changes today! Grab a planner from the store, think about what you want tomorrow to look like, and get to bed on time. Don’t feel like you have to do everything on this list today to make sure tomorrow is perfect. Baby steps will go a long way to get you towards a more stress-free day, which will lead you to a more stress-free lifestyle.
One thing you can go ahead and do today is set up your prescriptions to be delivered right to your door so that you no longer have to worry about them. With RX2Door, you can simply go online and enter your prescription information, and they will ship it right to your door. Bada-bing, bada-boom.
It’s such an easy thing to take off of your plate, that will save you time and hassle, that there’s really no good reason why you shouldn’t go ahead and automate it.
Remember, you don’t have to do everything perfectly when you start trying to prep for your next day – you just need to take baby steps. And thankfully, if something doesn’t work and you need to recalibrate, you can just prepare for a more stress-free day tomorrow.
